WEINIG in the index of world market leaders
The university collaborated with the Akademie Deutscher Weltmarktführer to produce a proprietary “World market leaders index for Germany, Austria and Switzerland”. The index is based upon a database currently containing around 1,300 entries of potential world market leaders from the three countries. The University of St. Gallen believes that the term, as well as its derivative “hidden champion”, are used excessively. The index has been created to “separate the wheat from the chaff”.
